KazRosGas LLP was created on a parity basis by authorized organizations. In 2015, JSC NC KazMunayGas transferred to JSC NC QazaqGaz for trust management its 50% share in KazRosGas LLP, which it owned.

Legal status
Pursuant to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the gas industry dated November 28, 2001, PJSC Gazprom and CJSC NC KazMunayGas signed documents on June 7, 2002 to establish, on a parity basis, a closed joint-stock company, KazRosGas. Subsequently, on May 5, 2006, JSC KazRosGas was transformed into a Limited Liability Partnership, KazRosGas, and registered by the Department of Justice for the city of Almaty on June 5, 2006.
The main types of activity according to the Charter and the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the gas industry dated November 28, 2001 are: conducting marketing research of sales markets for natural gas and its processed products, processing gas at gas processing plants, ensuring transportation of natural gas, selling gas on the domestic and foreign markets, acting as an operator in the implementation of joint projects for the transportation of natural gas through the territories of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation to the markets of near and far abroad, creating new gas transportation capacities and the necessary infrastructure, developing and implementing new technologies, implementing scientific, technical, production, economic and foreign economic activities, including abroad, in accordance with the legislation; providing consulting and technical services for the preparation and development of gas projects; exploration, development and operation of oil and gas fields.
